hi! i’m grace, the founder of cavan cosmetics.

cavan is my middle name, taken from county cavan in ireland, where a good part of my family is from. it’s a name i’ve always wanted to do something with, and this brand is my way of honoring it. something rooted in care and intention.

i have always had a passion for the arts. theatre, music, painting, learning to make something from nothing. that same curiosity eventually led me to pay closer attention to the products we reach for every day.

between 200 million and 1 billion plastic lip balm tubes are discarded in the u.s. every year. most end up in landfills or the ocean, where they can take 500 years or more to break down. i wanted to create something beautiful without leaving that kind of mark on the world.

each balm is hand-crafted in small batches with 8 nourishing ingredients and packaged in hand-painted paper tubes. in a world that’s becoming increasingly automated by the day, i love celebrating human creativity, and i’d like to think you can feel that in the finished product.

my hope is that cavan brings a little joy to your routine and maybe sparks a conversation about how we make things, and why it matters.
